If you’ve lost your job due to a layoff, downsizing, or plant closure, and if that job went overseas, you may be eligible for special services under the Trade Adjustment Assistance Act (TAA). The link below provides general information about the Trade Adjustment Assistance program in Texas.

Recent Trade Affected Layoffs in Texoma

Workers who are affected by the closing of Folgers Coffee, or MEMC Southwest, are covered under the rules of the Trade Adjustment Assistance Act of 2009.

The Trade Adjustment Assistance Act of 2009 applies to workers included in certified petitions filed between May 18, 2009 and February 14, 2011.

Workers who are affected by any other trade related layoff, are covered under the rules of the Trade Adjustment Assistance Act of 2002.
