When business is good, Workforce Solutions Texoma is here to help you find the quality people your organization needs. When business is slow Workforce Solutions Texoma can also assist you with strategies to retain quality employees.

Shared Work

One strategy you can use to avoid a layoff is shared work. Shared Work allows you as a company to reduce overhead, by reducing the number of hours your employees work. After signing up for the program, you simply report the names of the employees affected and the percentage of their regular work week that has been reduced. The employee receives Unemployment Insurance in the same percentage.

While Shared Work does not totally replace the lost wages, it can help employees get by until you can return them to full-time work.

Shared Work is totally flexible. It does not require all employees, whole departments, or everyone with the same job title to participate nor does it require all employees to be reduced by the same number of hours. You decide what your company needs and reduce the hours accordingly. Schedules may be changed, or  employees move into and out of Shared Work.

Tax Credits and Incentives

There are a number of Tax Credits and Incentives available to you as an employer. Generally, the paperwork required to access these credits and incentives is very simple to complete. Accessing your fair share of tax credits and incentives may help you offer a competitive wage to a new employee who will require some training to become proficient, or may help you offset the cost of a raise. No matter how you use the dollars, Tax Credits and Incentives will have a positive impact on your bottom line.
