Bonham Economic Development Corporation is partnering with Workforce Solutions Texoma and the Texas Workforce Commission to sponsor the BET Program for Summer, 2024.
BET allows teachers to:
- Better understand the relevancy of what they teach,
- See first-hand the types of jobs their students may be doing after High School.
- Get a better idea of the skills local employers are looking for, and
- Be better prepared to answer the question; “Why do I have to learn this?”
The project is open to Teachers, Counselors, and Administrators from Bonham High School and Middle School. Four teachers will be selected for the Fannin County portion of the project. In addition to the valuable experience gained at the worksite, each will receive a $1,000 stipend.
Project Dates: June 17-21 2024.
